What is a mobile internet site?
A mobile internet site is similar to a websites on a computer but it's made for
your mobile phone.
What is Go Mobile?
Go Mobile is an easy way to visit mobile internet sites without typing the
address into your mobile phone. You give us your mobile phone number and we send
you a free SMS containing a link to the mobile internet site.
We have a strict ‘no spam’ policy, so we won't send you any promotional messages
or pass your details on to anyone.
How do I use Go Mobile?
Go Mobile is simple and easy to use:
- Enter your mobile number
- Enter the 4 character security code (this prevents spam)
- Click ‘Submit'. You will shortly receive a free SMS to you mobile
- Open the SMS
- In your phone menu select ‘Open link’ or ‘Go to the URL’
- The mobile site will load in your mobile internet browser.
How much does it cost to use Go Mobile?
The SMS we send to your mobile phone is free of charge. We will not charge you
to visit our mobile internet sites. Your mobile carrier may charge you for using
the mobile internet. We advise that you contact your mobile carrier to find out
their specific charges.

I'm not sure if my mobile can access the mobile internet?
If you have a colour screen on your mobile phone, chances are you are able to
access the mobile internet. To check if your mobile supports mobile internet
access we recommend you try Go Mobile – it's free after all. Enter your mobile
number into the Go Mobile form. You will then receive a free SMS containing a
link to the mobile site. To try

How can I set up my mobile to access the mobile internet?
Most mobile phones today come pre-configured to access the mobile internet when
you buy them. However, there are some mobiles that need to be manually
connected.
To set up your mobile to access the mobile internet, find your carrier below and
click on the relevant link. Simply follow the steps to set up mobile internet
access – it's quick, easy and best of all setting up your mobile to access the
internet won't cost you a cent.

How much will it cost?
We will not charge you to visit mobilise or any of our mobile sites – they’re
free. Your mobile carrier may charge you for using the mobile internet. We
advise that you contact your mobile carrier to find out their specific charges.
Sending an SMS message to receive a link to our mobile sites will cost 55c. You
will not be charged for the return SMS.
If you can't get enough of the mobile internet and are using it regularly, it's
a good idea to sign up to a mobile data pack (some mobile companies call this a
web pack, data plan or data service). This ensures that using the mobile
internet is super cheap to use. Please refer to your mobile carrier pricing
guide.
How do I bookmark a mobile site?
Bookmarking a mobile site on your mobile will make it easier to find again in
the future.
- Go to the home page on your mobile phone
- From your phone menu, select 'Options', 'Menu' or ‘More’ (wording varies
depending on your phone)
- Select 'Bookmarks', 'Favourites' or ‘Tools’
- Select 'Add Bookmark' or 'Add Favourite'
Once you have performed the above, next time you can simply select the mobile
site link from your Bookmarks/Favourites menu to go straight there. If your
phone asks if you want to “connect to the network” or “connect to the server”
select 'yes'. This question is just the phone’s way of protecting you from
connecting to the internet accidentally.
I have received an SMS how do I open the link?
Open the SMS message and select the option in your phone menu ‘Open link’ or ‘Go
to the URL’. Once you have selected the link, the mobile will load in your
mobile internet browser.
If the link does not work you may need to
set-up your mobile so you can access the mobile internet.
I used Go Mobile. Why did I not receive a return SMS?
We respond to all requests received, however sometimes there can be a delay
across the mobile network. Delays or errors may be caused by poor network
reception, so try using the service again.
If you are on pre-paid, check that you have enough credit and that your SMS was
sent successfully.
For phone-specific problems, we recommend you contact your mobile carrier.

FAQ's for downloading content (ringtones, games and wallpapers):
When will I receive the content on my phone?
The content will normally be delivered directly to your handset within a few minutes of purchase. However, as network conditions
change (peak traffic times may vary), please allow a 24 hour delivery time.
If you have not received your content after 24 hours, please contact us at (02) 8022 0777 and we will do our very best to ensure
delivery.
I haven't received the content I ordered on my phone. Why? Where did it go?
Before a mobile phone is added to the compatibility list for a piece of content, we test it thoroughly to ensure it can receive our
products.
Please refer to the compatibility list for the content you ordered. If your phone is not on the compatibility list we cannot
guarantee delivery of the content to your phone.
Many new phones have colour screens and polyphonic ringtones but may not support polyphonic ringtones or wallpaper. To save
yourself time and money, do not order unless your phone is listed as compatible.
In the case of phones that are new to the market and may not have been added to the compatibility list, please contact us.
An error message appears when I try to retrieve my download. What does this mean?
The messages "Network not Available" or "Package Data Connection not Available" mean that the WAP and GPRS have not been activated
on your handset. To activate WAP or GRPS, call your service provider and they will assist you.

How do I know if the GPRS or WAP is activated?
You will need to check with your network provider. Please contact them on the above mentioned numbers.
I received a service message that 'disappeared' from my phone. Do I need to purchase the content
again?
The service message will be logged in the menu, services, and service inbox. Please refer to the manual for your phone for specific
location information. All handsets have a folder or inbox in which messages are saved.
If you are unsure about where the service message has been saved on your handset, please contact us on (02) 8022 0777 and we will
try and help.
You will not have to re-purchase the content.
Why can't I download content if I am on 3?
Due to a carrier initiative, 3 customers are currently unable to download content through Premium Rate SMS.
FAQ's for Hotmail SMS:
When I signed up I didn't receive my four-digit confirmation code?
Check to ensure you entered your mobile phone number correctly when you signed up for Hotmail SMS. You can check the number you
entered by signing into your
MSN Mobile account from your computer and choosing "Change my service". This will show your service
provider and your mobile phone number. To change your mobile number simply type in the correct number, click "Next >" and follow
the prompts. You will be taken through the Hotmail SMS sign-up process again. Once you have done this a new MSN Mobile confirmation
code will be sent to your mobile phone.
How much does it cost?
The cost of Hotmail SMS alerts depends on your mobile phone provider.
Telstra: You will be charged for each message sent from your mobile. Messages you send will be charged at standard SMS rates applicable under your Telstra mobile plan and may be included in your "Included Calls" or "Included SMS" if applicable under your contract. For each message that is sent to your mobile handset and is one of the following message types:
- Welcome/initiation message
- Hotmail alert
- Return Hotmail inbox
- Return Hotmail message header
- Messenger alert
- Return Contact List
You will be charged at a rate per message of 25c (inc. GST) irrespective of whether the message is successfully delivered to, or
received by, you.
Vodafone: For each SMS received from the MSN Mobile SMS Services (Hotmail and Messenger) 33c (inc. GST) will be charged to your
Vodafone account. For each SMS you send to the MSN Mobile SMS Services (Hotmail and Messenger) 25c (inc. GST) will be charged to your Vodafone account.
Optus: For each SMS received from the MSN Mobile SMS Services (Hotmail and Messenger) 25c (inc. GST) will be charged to your Optus account. For each SMS you send to the MSN Mobile SMS Services (Hotmail and Messenger) 25c (inc. GST) will be charged to your Optus account.
3: For each SMS received from the MSN Mobile SMS Services (Hotmail) 25c (inc. GST) will be charged to your 3 account. For each SMS you send to the MSN Mobile SMS Services (Hotmail) 25c (inc. GST) will be charged to your 3 account.
What if I don't want to be notified of every email that is sent to my Hotmail inbox?
You can specify exactly which emails you receive Hotmail SMS alerts for. Once Hotmail SMS has been set up you can change your alert settings from your Hotmail account on your computer. From your Hotmail inbox simply select "Options" in the top right corner, then "More options" at the bottom of the list and then select "Mobile alerts for new messages". You can then choose the alert setting most appropriate for you from the options provided.
If you wish to fully customise the Hotmail SMS alerts you receive, choose "Messages I specify using mobile alert filters" and follow the embedded link to "mobile alert filters". Use the drop down lists and text box to configure SMS alerts when you receive emails from particular email addresses or contact names, or containing specific words in the Subject, To or CC lines. Once you've done this, click "Save" and your alert is configured. You will only be sent an SMS alert when you receive emails matching the
criteria you have set.
You can set multiple alert criteria and easily change or delete alert criteria you have set using the "Edit" or "Delete" functions and clicking "Save".
I forgot the Hotmail Service Number. How do I access Hotmail SMS now?
If you wish to use Hotmail SMS and you haven't saved the Hotmail Service Number to your phone all you need to do is sign in to your
MSN Mobile account from your computer, select "Receive Hotmail service message", tick the "MSN Hotmail" box and then click
"Send". Make sure you save the number from the welcome SMS you receive to your contacts so you can use Hotmail SMS whenever you
want.
I can't remember all the commands to send and receive Hotmail SMS messages from my mobile
All you need to remember is the command 'H' for Help. Simply type the letter H in an SMS and send it to the Hotmail Service Number.
You will receive an SMS reply listing all the Hotmail SMS commands. The available commands are:
- View Inbox I
- Compose an e-mail C (Recipient email address) (Type message)
- Read an email (Type message number) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.
- Read more of an e-mail M
- Reply to an e-mail R (Type message)
- Delete an e-mail D
- Forward an e-mail F (Recipient email address)
- Read next e-mail N
- Read previous e-mail P
- Turn alerts off STOP
- Turn alerts on A ON
Send your commands as an SMS to the Hotmail Service Number to perform the appropriate function.
I want to temporarily stop Hotmail SMS alerts without changing the filters on my account
To temporarily stop your Hotmail SMS alerts simply type STOP in an SMS and send it to the Hotmail Service Number. You will receive
an SMS reply confirming you have successfully turned alerts off. If you wish to turn Hotmail SMS alerts back on, type A ON in an
SMS and send it to the Hotmail Service Number. You will receive an SMS reply confirming you have successfully turned alerts on.
You can also temporarily stop your Hotmail SMS alerts by signing in to your
MSN Mobile account, selecting "Change delivery alert
settings", clicking "Off" and then "Save". Your Hotmail SMS filters will remain in place but no alerts will be sent to your
phone. You can turn Hotmail SMS alerts back on by going back to the site and selecting "On" and then "Save".
I've changed my mobile number or service provider and I want to continue using Hotmail SMS
If your mobile number or service provider has changed and you would like to continue using Hotmail SMS simply go back to your
MSN Mobile account and select "Change my service". This will show your service provider and your mobile phone number. To change your mobile number simply type in the correct number, click "Next >" and follow the prompts. To change your service provider select your new provider from the list, click "Next >" and follow the prompts. Customers of AAPT Mobile, ACN, Austar, B Digital, Digiplus, M2, People Telecom, Primus, Soul, and WTS should select "Optus" from the list of service providers. You will be taken through the Hotmail SMS sign-up process again. Once you have completed this a new MSN Mobile confirmation code will be sent to your mobile phone.
I'd like to delete my Hotmail SMS account
If you no longer wish to send or receive Hotmail via SMS and would like to delete your Hotmail SMS account all you need to do is visit your
MSN Mobile account, select "Delete my account" and click "Delete" to confirm.
